Debate-clubOne of the promising and interesting forms of work in the Centre for the Prevention and support – is the “Movies not for everyone” discussion club. Its sessions are held about twice a month, and are available for all teenagers who had undergone the basic or supporting trainings, and also involved into the additional services. The aim of the club is forming the skills of creative thinking, support of their attitude, conducting group discussions, and debating on the vital problems of the modern young people. Such form of work allows to influence the forming of the moral principles (compassion, charity, tolerance, kindness, mutual support, orderliness). It is important to take the full responsibility of choosing the films for watching with the teenagers, and present to them the films of real artistic value and high order. You should watch all these films yourself first. Be sure to hold a small discussion on the movie's topic before watching it with the kids, and discuss it thoroughly afterwards. Some films in this list are rather rough emotionally, so the facilitator should evaluate the audience in terms of emotional stability and think of relief methods from the extremely negative emotional state after the film. You can conduct the discussions not only with the teens, but also in mixed groups with the parents and teachers.
